Technical SEO · Free Audit

One score.
Every fix spelled out.

Around 30 on-page and technical checks: indexability, canonicals, titles measured in pixels rather than characters, heading structure, alt coverage, schema validity, sitemap and robots. Each finding comes with a severity and the actual change to make — not "improve your SEO".

Mindstorm Labs' Page Audit scores one URL with about 30 on-page and technical checks, grouped into indexing and crawl, transport, structure and content, links and images, and structured data. Each finding shows a severity set by consequence and the specific change to make. It measures how fast the HTML is delivered, not full page-load speed, and it reads one page at a time.

Audits a single page, plus the site-level robots.txt and sitemap that affect it.

What does the page audit check?

Grouped by what they actually affect. Severity is assigned by consequence, not by how easy the fix is.

Indexing & crawl can be fatal

Noindex in the meta tag or the X-Robots-Tag header (people forget the header), page-level nofollow, canonical presence and whether it points at itself or somewhere else, robots.txt reachability, sitemap discovery via /sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml and the Sitemap: line in robots.txt.

Transport & speed

HTTPS, redirect chain length with every hop listed, server response time for the HTML, document size, and whether compression is actually being applied. This measures HTML delivery, not full page load — we say so in the finding rather than implying it is a Lighthouse score.

Metadata

Title length in characters and estimated pixel width — Google truncates on pixels, so a 55-character title full of capitals still gets cut. Meta description length, H1-versus-title duplication, Open Graph completeness, Twitter card, favicon, charset and lang.

Structure & content

H1 count, heading-level skips with the offending heading quoted, subheading density, word count, long-sentence ratio, and whether a <main> or <article> landmark exists so extraction tools can tell content from chrome.

Links & images

Internal and external counts, generic anchors ("click here") listed individually, empty links with no text/image/aria-label, and placeholder href="#" links — which read as a broken site to a visitor. Image alt coverage with the missing files named, plus images with no dimensions set.

Structured data

Every JSON-LD block is parsed. Broken JSON-LD is flagged as high severity because search engines discard it silently — you get zero benefit from markup you already paid to write, with no warning anywhere. Microdata itemtype is detected too.

!
One honest caveat. This reads the raw HTML your server returns and does not execute JavaScript. If your site renders content client-side, the word count and heading checks will understate what a human sees. That gap is itself worth knowing — but do not treat a thin-content warning on a JS-rendered page as gospel. The AI Readiness scan explains why that gap matters more than it used to.

What to do with this result

Work the findings from highest severity down; indexing and crawl problems come before anything cosmetic. For links and decaying pages, run the Internal Link and Content Decay Finder, and for wording, the Content and Readability Analyzer. If the audit shows more than you want to fix yourself, our AEO/GEO consulting covers diagnosis and re-measurement. The Chrome extension runs similar checks on whichever page you are viewing.
